Future Planning and Development is an independent consultancy based in the City of London providing expert advice to developers, investors, private landowners and local authorities. The practice specialises in major planning and development projects in London and the South East.
Our residential work ranges from strategic land promotion and major housing developments for housebuilders to bespoke Green Belt houses in the South East and super-prime developments in Central London. Chris Frost is a Chartered Town Planner with 25 years’ experience working in and around London. Chris specialises in planning and development projects in London and the South East, where he has an excellent track record of major residential, mixed-use and commercial projects.
Chris gives strategic planning advice to clients to secure the best results for a site. He also manages the preparation and negotiation of planning applications to present the best case for the client and is called upon to give evidence as an expert witness at planning inquiries.
Amir is an seasoned town planner with over 15 years’ experience in the private sector, working principally in London and the South East.
Amir has a wealth of experience in residential, retail and commercial planning, particularly with medium size residential development and Prior Approval applications.
Laura joined us in 2020 from the planning enforcement team at Westminster City Council, providing her with a wealth of experience investigating, understanding and resolving complex planning problems in the heart of the City. This followed her role as a town planner and project manager working in the telecoms sector in Brisbane.
Laura’s current role involves the co-ordination and preparation of planning appraisals, applications and appeals, specifically in relation to retail development and high-end residential projects, as well as general planning advice and support to developers and private clients.
Martyn provides architectural and design services at Future PD including master planning, site layouts, landscape design, photomontages and planning drawings.
Martyn has worked with a number of our clients preparing plan and layouts in support strategic site promotion through the Local Plan process.
Chris Collier - Consultant
Chris provides a number of technical services in support of planning applications including Energy and Sustainability Reports, and Daylight/Sunlight Assessments.
Becky looks after Future PD’s accounts and resourcing and is responsible for the general administration of the office. Her background is in nursing and she was an International Family Tracing caseworker for the British Red Cross before joining Future PD.

Future PD has been involved in the promotion of a number of large strategic housing sites for housebuilders and developers. We recently secured the allocation of a 110 unit site in East Sussex following successful promotion through the emerging Local Plan. We are also advising clients on a number of major urban extensions and a Garden Village development.
Future PD work with a number of housebuilders and developers on small to medium scale (1-50 units) residential sites and we have obtained planning permission for several developments in the past year across the south east. For many of these sites we will also deal with the post-decision planning matters such as Section 106 and CIL negotiation, discharging planning conditions, as well as material and non-material amendments, ensuring schemes can be built out on-programme.
Future PD has a strong track record in delivering permissions for clients in the Prime Central London market. This includes planning permissions and Listed Building Consents for extensions, basements, amalgamations and other works to super-prime properties in Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster.
Future PD have successfully achieved permission for office developments and for a range of B Class and retail uses. Specialisms include Sequential Assessments for town centre uses and Retail Impact Assessments to support applications for planning permission.
Future PD have been very active in the leisure market over a number of years, delivering a new Casino at the Park Lane Hilton in 2015, as well as hotels, cinemas and health clubs across London and the south east. Public consultation, good management and a clear Operation Statement is often the key to convincing LPAs and residents of the benefits of these proposals.
Future PD work with a number of clients on large-scale outdoor advertising. This includes consents for large scale banner advertising and building shrouds, as well as large-scale digital signage in prominent town centre and roadside locations across the country.
